Originally, references to the "Pisccataqua" region could mean either NewCastle or Portsmouth, before the became separate towns. In 1693 NewCastle incorporated, and first selectmen included a JAMES RENDEL (RANDALL). Book also mentions (pg 87) BENJAMIN RANDALL, son of sea capt by the same name, of old NewCastle family...
Could he an ancestor of Abigail Randal?
