I seem to be hitting dead ends on Bertha May Johnson. She and Jason Robert Rand married on 21 Oct 1894 in Oregon. Bertha is buried in Hood River, (then Wasco County) Oregon. She taugh school during the 1890s in Pine Grove, Oergon until her early death in 1899. Two children were born from this marriage and have since died. They are Arthur E. Rand and Edna M. Rand.
I seek further information on BERTHA MAY "JOHNSON" RAND, her husband JASON ROBERT RAND and the older child ARTHUR E. RAND. I have nearly nothing on Bertha, no parents or siblings. Although a lead has it that siblings to Bertha may be name Otavia and John, both would be younger then Bertha.
