Kimberly,
I descend from Josiah Ramsey, born about 1720. He and brother Thomas Ramsey are found in Augusta County, VA records as early as 1748.

Josiah married Elizabeth Holles/Hollis in Old Swedes Church in New Castle, Wilimington, Delaware in 1744. This area would have been in PA at that time. Josiah died in Wythe County, VA about 1811. He had a daughter named Elizabeth but she is much younger and married John Moore.

Thomas Ramsey, wife Ann, was born about 1710. He had a daughter named Elizabeth but she married Amos Heaton/Eaton. Most of this family removed to the Cumberland Settlements near Nashville TN in the late 1770s and early 1780s.
