Brown Ramsey, 86, of Walton Circle, Mosheim, TN, died Sunday evening, April 12, 2009, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She went home to be with the Lord, her family stated. Mrs. Ramsey was a homemaker, and the widow of Elmer Damon Ramsey. She was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church and attended Community Baptist Church in Bulls Gap. She was a daughter of the late William and Lilly Mae Grose Brown and was preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Chance; and a brother: Arlie Brown. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Brenda Ramsey of Bulls Gap, TN; one daughter and son-in- law, Kay and Willard Hinkle of Mohawk, TN; her grand- children and a grandson-in-law, Fredrick Hinkle, Patrick Damon Hinkle, Marlene and Sean McKnight, Regina Eberle, and Rebecca Shugar; her great-grandchildren, SPC Patrick Jeremy Hinkle, Dillon Lyon, Devin Lyon, Dalton Lyon, Courtney McKnight, Linsey Davis, Jordon Eberle, and Sydney Eberle; her stepgrandchildren, Angel Halcomb, Mandi Lawhorn, Rhonda Casteel, Tonya Roberts, Britney McKnight, and Brennan McKnight; her step-great-grandchildren, Lillianna Halcomb, Damon Lawhorn, Brandon Casteel, Breanna Casteel, Bryson Casteel, and Mikayla Roberts; two brothers, Oliver Brown of WV, and Russell Brown of VA; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bill and Linda Brown, Teresa Hinkle, Regina Talford, Bessie Lowery, and Karen Ottem. The family received friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service followed visitation at 8 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Gregg Douthat and the Rev. Dwayne Casteel officiated. Pallbearers were SPC Patrick Jeremy Hinkle, SPC Tim Landeck, Dillon Lyon, Devin Lyon, Dalton Lyon, Patrick Damon Hinkle, Fredrick Hinkle, and Bill Brown. A committal service will be held at noon, Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in Sunrise Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m., at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
