My great great grandfather was John Ramsden (either William John, Joseph John or John Joseph). He was born in 1816 in Yorkshire (Almondsbury, Huddersfield) and the family home was said to be Longley.
Johns parents were throught to be Joseph and Mary Ramsden.John purchased mills in Ontario Canada in the mid to late 1800's.He had relations who also owned and operated mills in France.
