Barbara,
I wanted to clarify something. We sat and looked at the information we found. Henry should be the oldest son of our Robert Sr who was born in Germany in 1818. He shows on the first census in 1850. That should be just after he arrived here. His children are Henry (1851), John (1854), Mary A (1855), Hannah (1856), Louisa (1858), Robert Jr (1860), Arenst "Earnest" (1862) and William (1865). We found children of William, "Earnest" and Henry in 1910. The last one of Henry's children still at home was Mabel. I hope that this could be of some help to you. It looks like you and Ed may be related.
Robert Jr went through several name changes according to the census papers. His name was "Robert Rimer", "Robert Ramer", "Robbert Raymer", and finally Robert Ramer again. It remained that way from then to now.

Ed and Dianne Ramer
