Looking for contemporary descendants of French emigres Richard Rambaut and his wife Elizabeth [de La Roche-La Rochefoucald] who emigrated from France during the French Revolution to Saint Dominque (Santo Domingo), West Indies, and after the consequences of the French Revolution laid Santo Domingo to waste, to Petersburg, Virginia in the early 1790's.

The Rambaut's children were Gilbert Vincent Rambaut, Eliza W. [Rambaut] Jeffers, and Rosetta Eleanor [Rambaut] Kendall, all of whom were born in Petersburg.
