Our Ramanauskas family went from Lithuania to Scotland in the 1900's.I have a marriage certificate for our Katarina Ramanauskas who married Tomas Jakubinas in 1907, from West Calder, Scotland. What struck a cord was that one of the witnesses listed is a Margeret Synopas? or so it looks on the document.Very difficult to read. Our branch came to the United States in 1909.
Katarina(Catherine) had one brother that I know of named Pius (pronounced Pie-us) and one sister named Anna
still looking for other siblings.Their parents were Vincas Ramanauskas and Elizbeta Medalas born about 1850.
please contact me if you think any of this matches yours.
Pius changed his last name to Raymon upon entering the United States
