James Ira Ramage, born Iowa, October 1876
I am desperately searching for any information about my great-grandfather, James Ira Ramage.According to census data, he was born in October 1876 in Iowa. His parents were born in Illinois, but I haven't got either of their names. He married Martha Elizabeth Sullivan about 1892, and they had ten children, six of whom lived to maturity. The only son who lived to maturity was Clyde Loy Ramage, which may or may not be a family name. The family moved around between Kansas and Oklahoma throughout the period from 1898-1910, when they were in Lone Star Township, Wagoner County, Oklahoma.Family lore then says that James Ira Ramage died in an oil well accident about 1912, and the family migrated to California, where Martha had family.Any information or leads about Ramage settlers in Illinois or Iowa would be greatly appreciated.
