Can anyone connect to this family? The name changes from Raley/Raleigh/Reighley/Riley.
James Raleigh is listed in the 1850 Chester Census with wife Mary. Children are listed as Merideth (Male), William T., Margaret, James, George, and Harrison (David). In this order. James (Born c. 1802) was listed as being born in North Carolina and all children and Mary are born in South Carolina.
William Reighley (son of James)is shown in the 1860 census with wife Ferriby (Tollison)and children:
Margaret (Maggie), John T. (Tollison), and William. Other children of William are C.J. (Male), Sallie and Mattie. John T. by the time he is an adult is spelling the name Riley.
All the sons of James were in the CSA in Chester County.. Any information appreciated.
