I stumbled on this website quite by accident. Now I'm curious. Am I related to Solomon Raker?

My great-grandmother was Diantha Jane Raker, of Fulton Co. She married John Love, also of Fulton Co. They had seven children, of whom my grandfather, Andrew Jacob Love, was one. John Love was a Civil War veteran, and in his later years he and his wife relocated to McClure, O., in Henry County. Both died before I was born, but my great-aunt Ella Love Johnson, lived in the house where they lived in McClure, and she had a "family album" with pictures of parents and children.

I would like to know more about the Rakers. I know there is a Raker Cemetery in Fulton Co., and Frances Love Mann, one of Diantha Jane Raker Love's daughters, lived in Delta
when I was a child. Malinda Love ???, the oldest daughter, lived in Toledo, as did the youngest, Lucinda Love Willeman. Chester Love, another son, lived in Grelton, O. The youngest boy, another John, died either in his teens or early twenties and never married.

My grandfather, Andrew Jacob Love, retired as Superintendent of Schools in Clyde, Ohio, and he and my grandmother, Dora Shepard Love, subsequently moved to McClure, where both had family ties.

If anyone can tell me more about my Raker relatives, I'd be glad to hear from them-

Mary Gieseler
