Hi Davy,
Yes, I noticed what race they were.It said "W" which means
"white".If they were Indian it would have had an "I" or
"MU"(meaning mulatto--which indicates mixed blood) MU does
not necessarily mean White/Negro mix which it seems to; to
a lot of people.
Do you subscribe to the Rainwater Rootsweb? Right now that
is a hotly debated subject on there.Just type in
[email protected] and put "subscribe" in the subject
box. That's all you have to do.Bob Schimmel is the web-master
on there.
Personally, I have traced the Rainwater name back to 1619
in Great Yarmouth in England. There it was spelled several
different ways.Raynemorter;Rayneworter;Renwaider;Reinwater,
etc. There is another web-site that I post to a lot---
http://www.chronography.com/rainwater/http://www.chronography.com/rainwater/
Susan Chance-Rainwater is the one who maintains that site.
Take care,
Glidie
