However on the 1850 Census Marshall TN there was a William B. Rainey born abt. 1820 in VA wife was Mary C. Dockery(they married Dec 16, 1847, Marshall Tn) children William C. and Martha F. Your William was listed as William D. Rainey born abt 1821,TN, wife Elizabeth, children George, Sarah, Mary and Margaret. Hope this helps.
