Hello Kim,
Kate Tate was my father's sister. His name is J(esse) Ray Rainer and I knew her in my childhood when my family would go to Opp from Dothan. Your postings on the family history have been an immense help, and now I'm confused. I posted a reply to an earlier post in this string about James (Daniel vs. David) Rainer, and their apparent marriage, both of them, to Martha Ann.
Can you please clarify if they are the same James D, or was there a J Daniel as well as a J David? Similarities are too close, but both names apparently have their well-documented foundation.
I have no axe to grind either way, but any who have followed your postings in ancestry.com and compare them to this string might be likewise confused.
