I am descended from David and Sarah and David and 2nd wife Amy. Both of my grandparents were descended from David Rainer of Sampson Co, NC. His daughter Piercy by wife Sarah married John Bright Draughon and my grandmother came from this line. Then David's son William Rainer by wife Amy is my grandfather's line. My Raynor family still live in and around Sampson COunty, NC. I live in SC but visit and do research in NC often. William who was my grt grt grandfather was James Jarvis Rainer's half brother and Piercy who was my grt grt grt grandmother was his sister.
