My grandfather's third wife was born in South Shields, and her name was Annie RAINE Smith born 1902. I found another member of the family named John R Hodgson born 1881. I am wondering where the name Raine comes from. Is it a family name? Annie's father was George Thompson Smith, born South Shields 1877 and he was a shipwright. Maureen
