Hi Barbara, I have quite a lot of info on our line but first the name Rainbolt means brave, bold or bald the latter is my heritage I guess. This is what I have some of it was given to me by others doing research on the Rainbolt line. John Rainbolt was born in 1770 in McNairey County Tn , his son John Alivin[not John A]was born in 1822 in Tn. his son was John Harmon[Harmon] in 1858 in Tn. who was your G Grandfather and my Grandfather, he married Sarah E Lovins in May 1888 in Carter County Mo. Our Rainbolt family was about evenly split during the Civil war 22 fought on the side of the Union and 23 fought on the side of the Confedracy just a little more info on the Rainbolts heritage I thought I would add.I haven't been active in late years trying to get more info.
Hope this helps, if you find any please let me know.
