Rainbolt GEDCOM file

Mr. Mitchell:Along with a couple of other sources, your GEDCOM file helped me to determine exactly how I was related to the Rainbolts who moved to Indiana and elsewhere around 1825.I was also delighted with the comments you included about certian ones; I could only read the file in Wordpad as I don't have the Broderbund software...nevertheless, great stuff.
I am descended from Adam Rainbolt b.1758, who had a son Elisha Adam, b. 1790, who had a sonJohn H., b. 1825, who died in 1864 while serving with the 13th East TN Vol Cavalry Regiment.I have the history of the regiment published in 1903 but didn't realize the JohnRainbolt mentioned in the book was 'himself' until I downloaded your file.Among John H. Rainbolt and Matilda Rainbolt's other children were Valentine Rainbolt, my great great uncle who adopted my grandfather, and a set of twins, named for their parents, Matilda and John H.M. Rainbolt. These twins were born on June 15, 1864, twelve days before their father's death of disease in Gallatin...John H.M. Rainbolt was my great grandfather.I posted a note to Allen L. Smith on this site earlier this morning that details most of what I've learned; much of the information I have comes from our family Bible.

Rainbolt's death, and whether you had access to any more information about him...according to the book I have on the 13th East TN. Cavalry, it was unseasonably hot there that year, and the unit encamped in a swampy, marshy area for about two weeks; presumeably, this was the cause of John's illness.
