No news on Andrew Railey.
But there is something a bit perplexing. It would seem that Charles Railey deeded the 'Stonehenge' land to John Railey. This Charles can't be John's son according to the dates of the deed as the dte is prior to John getting married to Elizabeth Randolph.
You will note in the 'railey family' book you just bought (although I could have sent you a copy...), that:
1) W.E.Railey thinks that we could be decendants of Carew Raleigh, related to Sir Walter. Could be...but there is no evidence to substantiate this claim. On that point, I've connected with the College of Arms in England and in NY, to see if by tracing the arms described in the book would help uncover more upline lineage. I'm still waiting to hear back.
2) Regarding the family coat of arms, if you run a standard search on the web, you'll note that the Railey's are often assigned the Sir Walter Raleigh arms to some extend, but that the ones described in the Railey family book are radically different.
The search continues, and I'm looking into Maryland records as I suspect Charles Railey might have lived there prior to moving to Virginia. I do not believe that John Railey was born in England, but I might be wrong...we'll see
