Mr. Farmer, I am interested to know if you found any references to the many slaves of the Phillip Raifords from Edgefield, SC in your massive research. My grandfather and his parents were born slaves on that plantation. We had our own 1st Raiford reunion two years ago with a total of about 350 attendees. We had another well-attended gathering last year and will be meeting again in June, 2008. We meet in Ocala, Florida. Dr. Gilbert L. Raiford
