My grandfather was Song Raiford who was born a slave in 1850 in Edgefield, SC and died in 1941 in Ocala, Fl. He had 4 daughters and one son, Gilbert for whom I am named. His daughter were Becky, Lucinda, Sylvia, and Minnie who we called Nan. Song Raiford was shoemaker and a farmer and spent his old age in Zuber, Fl.
