I'm looking for imformation about William Raiford Eve, Jr. His father Dr. W.R. Eve Sr. who lived in the Beaufort area of South Carolina during the early 1900's. Sr. died in Beaufort in Jan. 1916.
At that same time W.R. Jr. was buying a Port Royal SC plantation know as Pleasant Farm from my grandfather, Clarence U.V. Benton.
The 1920 census has the Eve family living there, but by 1930, Mr. John Varn and family are living in the house and William Raiford Eve is living in Florida.
I don't know what the connection of the Raiford family to the Eve family is, but I'd guess that W.R. Sr.'s mother or grandmother may have been a Raiford.
