Bill thanks for the reply. My G-Grandmother was Martha (Mattie) Grice Raiford/married James Speed Poythress in Sumter,AL in 1867. She was born in Alabama in 1840 and died in Meridian, MS in 1917. Info per our Family Bible published 1840. Her Death Certificates, list her mother as Sallie Gardner and father as Robert Raiford both listed as born in NC but the Bible list her parents as Mathew Raiford and Sarah Raiford. Per the Bible it looks like Robert Raiford was her Grandfather and a Sivil Raiford was her grandmother. Anyway,go to:

At the top of the site go to Bible Records and click on Raiford/Poythress Bible. The actual pages are on there along with a transcription. Some have said the Sivil could be Civility Honeycutt who first married Robert Raiford and then married his brother. It would be great to compare notes to find out if this it true. I would really like your imput on what you think after you view the Bible Pages. Other surnames in the Bible-hail from around Johnston County, NC - Cook,Grice,High and Richardson. I look forward to hearing from you and would appreciate any help you may have, especially finding out who the parents of my GG-Grandmother Sarah Gardner was. There are so many dates in the Bible it doesn't seem like it would be so hard to find out but I have hit a brick wall and confirming if Robert and Sivil were the actual Robert and Civility Honeycutt has come up a blank as the three children listed in the Bible as their children, have never been recorded in other records.
