Where is Broad River? Perhaps my couisn in charleston can find out. We are descendants of Philip
Raiford II, son of {hilip "The Immigrant" Wreyford/Raiford. Philip II founded wht William Russell Raiford in his book, THE HISTORY OF THE RAIFORD FAMILY, refers to as "The South Carolina Raifords. Philip II came to SC in about 1740 and died in Charleston in 1748. His son Philip IIi died in Charleston in 1761, Philip IV in Faifield County in 1822, and Philip V in Edgecombe County in 1824.

Maybe this will help you.
