I am researching the Maurice Rahilly/Catherine Eagar family too as I believe that I am related but do not have too much to go on to date. I am also related to the Mac Gillycuddys of Kerry.

My father, Desmond, was born to Dorothy Von Holm in Dublin whose mother was Kathleen Rooney (also marrying into the O'Brien family). Kathleen's father is believed to be Thomas Rooney. Now somewhere in amongst this ancestry is Maurice Rahilly. Kathleen (my great grandmother) insisted that my younger brother was given the name of Maurice due to the family connections.

Can you help me at all?
