My grandfather was John Rahilly. My dad told me when the children started to school, the name was "shortened" to Riley. all of the children used this spelling. John Rahilly is the name on his tombstone in Wharton, Texas (moved there from Rochelle, Illinois). His family migrated from Sligo County Ireland. His wife was Mary Culkin, also from Ireland.
