Greetings, everyone.
Some of you may be aware - This is the last year that George Ragsdale will be coordinating the Ragsdale Reunion. He contacted me earlier this year to provide me with the date for this year's reunion. The date for this year's reunion is Sunday, August 24th at the Austell Community Center. SAVE THE DATE, spread the word, and please be sure to make plans to attend - recent deaths and illnesses have hit home and reemphasized the importance of our need to connect and fellowship on a regular basis.
And for those of you who haven't heard: Starting in 2009, Tammy (Ragsdale) Cook and I have agreed to take on the awesome responsibility of coordinating the Annual Family Reunion. We anticipate some changes will be forthcoming, based in part on the responses received so far from the Ragsdale Family Survey, but largely in part to the increasing cost of utilizing the Austell Community Center. Starting in 2009, we will be looking into utilizing FREE facilities such as possibly my home church, Calvary Baptist of Austell. If any of you have suggestions on FREE locations, please email those to me.
We are seeking folks to help serve on the planning committee for the 2009 reunion. If any of you are interested, please email me at kgrosskurth "at" yahoo "dot" com with your name, email address, and phone number so we can get in touch with you. I am hoping we will have our first committee meeting sometime before the August 2008 reunion, which now just around the corner. Due to how busy we all are, we can best meet by FREE Conference Calling. We just need to settle on some dates and identify those who are interested so I can send you the information to dial into the conference call.
In addition, we continue to seek feedback from family members via our ongoing Survey. If you want a copy of the survey document, please email me at the above mentioned email address. The survey is contained in a Word document which can be printed out, filled in, and faxed to me at 1-641-453-4443. The form can also be completed in Word, saved with your changes, and sent to me via email (the easiest and quickest way to get it to me).
So far, I've received information from approx. 25 families. Thanks again for all of you who have completed the survey - your input is sincerely appreciated! We look forward to receiving feedback from each and every one of you.
