mr.brian
it is true the the ragle's originated in germany in fact there is two side's of the ragle name there is ragel and ragle i'm a ragle. there is a lady in effingham illinois that has the complete family tree going from present to germany. the reason there is to spelling's is when my great grandfather came to the united state's he and his two brother's bought a bunch of farm ground together in effingham ill. my great grandfather had a falling out with the other two brother's. he took his share of the farm ground and told the brother's that he did not want anything to do with them he then went to the court house and legally changed the last name from ragel to ragle just on his side .in fact my dad has a copy of the original name change document. in fact there is a ragle / ragel reunion every july in effingham illinois. my cousin and i are usually the only ragle's that show up we are also considered the rebel's of the family. the reason my dad has the name change document is it was his grandfather that changed it. i will get mary's e-mail for you and her telephone number and maybe help you out. ps. i live in st. joseph illinois please reply to my e-mail address
