The similarities of names made me pull out my genealogy info. Here is what I have on my Ragland Clan:
Reuben Ragland married Ann Walker, dtr. of Robert Walker. Reuben was a Lieutenant in the Rev. War witht he Halifax Militia. He was a planter by trade. Reuben and Ann had 7 children, the first born in St. Peter's Parish, New Kent co., VA. The second through fourth born in St. Paul's Parish, Hanover Co., VA. and the last three were born in Halifax Co., VA.
1. James b. 1760 d. 1839never married
2. Reuben b. 1762 d.1827 in White Co.,TN
3. Williamb. 1765 d. 1838 Searcy Co.,AK
