I have been in contact with two descendants of George RAGER and Catherine PORTER who have been working together (from opposite sides of the country) on a DAR application. The sticking point has been the proof that Johann Michael was the father of George RAGER who married Sarah JUNKINS. They presume that George who married Catherine PORTER was their son. There is a JUNKINS deed that proves that the two JUNKINS sisters, Sarah & Agnes, married two RAGER men (Agnes married John). That George & John were brothers, and the sons of Johann Michael, we will probably never know for sure. George and Catherine PORTER had a son Joseph M. who married Lucinda RAGER, d/o Peter and Catherine WILHELM. Joseph & Lucinda had a son John Porter d. 1926 -- do you descend from him?
