Thank you for your response.To date I did not have a census report for 1900 for Alberry Clark.In the 1910 Census he states he had 8 children but only 7 are living.I only know of 7 so far.Also, you might want to note that Alberry's birthdate maybe incorrect.His death certificate states he was born June 13, 1850, his tombstone shows 1847 and the census report for AL 1860 states his age as 5.The general rule, as I understand it, is to accept the age/year of birth that shows him at his youngest age.The census for 1860 was taken in August of that year, whether his birthday was in April or June, he would have turned 5 before the census took place.Therefore, in my research I'm am using the birth year of 1855.
I've also seen his father, Willis Ragan's occupation stated as a Lawyer.This is incorrect and should be Sawyer.When I first looked at the census I too thought it was 'Lawyer'.Other research that determined he worked at the McElrath Saw Mill and taking a harder look at the handwriting of the census taker changed my mind.
