Seeking a record reputed to be in the bible of Letticia TYCER Ragan (b 1818), wife of John Wesley RAGAN (b 1816). They were married in Dickson Co., TN 10 March 1838. They moved to Texas in 1855 and show up in the 1860 Wood County, TX census and the 1880 Hunt County, TX census. John Wesley RAGAN was a minister as well as a farmer. John was the son of Jesse RAGAN and Nellie PARISH.
Children born to John Wesley Ragan and Letticia TYCER Ragan are:
1. Louisa Adelaide RAGAN, b. 01 January 1839, Dickson County, Tennessee; d. 24 March 1937, Lone Oak, Hunt County, TX, married William Capers MINGS.

3. Tennessee RAGAN, b. 31 March 1843, Tennessee; d unknown, married Unknown MORRIS.
4. William RAGAN, b. July 1846, Tennessee; d. 11 July 1890.
5. Mary E. RAGAN, b. Abt. 1848, Tennessee; d unknown.
6. Virginia C. RAGAN, b. 10 October 1850; d. 24 September 1866.
7. James B. RAGAN, b. 23 February 1853, Probably Dickson Co., TN.
8. Robert Dixon RAGAN, b. 30 July 1855; d. 08 November 1874.
9. Esther RAGAN, b. 25 January 1858; d. 25 January 1894; m. Robert WALTON.
10. Laura A. RAGAN, b. 22 May 1859, Texas; m. William CHURCHILL.
