my name is William E. Raftery and I am from NYC though I now live in Scottsdale Az. I have a newspaper clipping from an Indianapolis newspaper in the early 1950's entitled "Make that Raftery". It talks about a policeman named Mike Raftery and the trouble he had making people beleive his name was Raftery not Rafferty. It even mentions a police yearbook from 1913 dedicated to the Fountain Square beat patrolmen. If you contact me I will send the article to you so you have it. It also mentions a Detective Michael Kessler as being related to Mike.
