Hello,
Although many years have passed. I have just begun putting pieces together for my Fiance's family - Rothrock
Susanah Raffe, daughter of William Raffe, and grand daughter of John Raffe, married Hiram Rothrock.
See below for William Raffe information. I do believe this is the William you mention as son of John who was born in Kentucky. All Census records for William reference his parents as being Virginians.

m. Nancy (unknown) b. Pennsylvania

Isaiah b. 1845 Indiana
Susanah B. b. 1846 Indiana d. shortly aftaer 1930.
Nancy E. b. 1852 Indiana
Lewis b. 1855 Indiana d. 1948
Sarah b. 1857 Colorado
Datie b. 1859 Missouri
Aaron C. b. 1862 Kansas
Lewis lived for a while with his sister Susanah and her husband Hiram Rothrock.
Aaron became head of household after his mother and father passed away and lived out his life with his sisters Datie, "Data" and Sarah. I have no information on the other siblings as of yet. Any additional information you have on John Raffe would be appreciated.
