Do you know why your RADTKE family moved to Milwaukee? Obviously, it was quite the mecca at that time, especially for German immigrants. My Great-great grandfather, Johann Friedrich RADTKE settled in Milwaukee after arriving there in 1870. He married Wilhelmina THRANOW and they had a large family. One daughter, Dora, married Max Patzke in 1919. I know that RADTKE is a relatively common name but one never knows who knows who! Other members of the family were Wilhelm and Minnie (who both died young), Walter, Emil, Ernst, Hedwig and Selma. Dora was the youngest in this family, being born in 1896. She passed away April 30, 1996. Walter never married and died in Palm Springs, California in 1972.

After my Great-grandpa PATZKE died in 1925 Dora and my grandmother moved to Grand Rapids, MI--not all too terribly far from Manistee.

Curious if we might connect. Thanks!
