Believe it or not I only found out James Sawle was a descentant yesterday. My GGF Frederick Boulton Hughes left for NZ in 1889 and I believe he had no contact with his family from then onwards. I'm quite sure his father remarried and had 4? other children, William, Albert, Llewellyn and a daughter. I found a newspaper story involving the family still in Australia. February 11, 1908 The Advertiser (Adelaide, SA : 1889-1931), Wednesday 12 February 1908, page 10. I don't have any information of the death of his wife, Mary Ann nee Doherty and subsequent remarriage. I think a son William Sawle Hughes was born in 1889 to Christina Yeates but nothing confirmed about birth (or death) of the other children or remarriage.
My GGF Frederick Boulton Hughes had three sons Frederick William, Bert and Harold, My GF.
At this stage I would be very interested in any information about James Sawle and the Sawle family tree in England and elsewhere. I'm also very interested to know more about William Alexander Hughes and the Hughes family descendants in Australia.
Any information would be appreciated!
