Pauline, just to add an extra to your question - I'm not so sure that the name of the ship they took to Australia was the SS Forfarshire, unless there was a newer ship renamed. The Forfarshire is the famous story of Grace Darling assisting in the rescue of passengers when the ship was sunk in 1838 - I think in Scotland.
