Cothran and Radcliff in Illinois

Jesse Cothran married Matilda Radcliff, in Fayette County, Illinois on June 14th 1835. I am hoping to connect Jesse with my ggreat grandfather Thomas A. Cothran who moved from Illinois (county unknown) to Arkansas and was in the 1850 census for Lawrence County Arkansas and the 1860 census for Howell County, Missouri.

Thomas was born in about 1810 in IL and I lose him after the 1860 census. I believe because of the way Thomas consistently spelled his name that he is connected to the Cothrans in ILL. Because of the way he spells his name I have been unable to find out where he was in 1840 or where he died and who he married. He had two known wives, one was Rachel, last name unknown and Penelope Huskey or Husketh.

The Thomas Cothran children included my great grandfather Hiram Cothran-Cochran who lived in Arkansas and Jackson County, Illinois and was born in 1848 in Arkansas. His siblings were Lilass or Silas b. 1842, Elvira, and Elizabeth A. Elizabeth was born in Missouri, the others were born in Arkansas. There may have been more children. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
