The newspaper article entitled "A King's Wrath" was an interview by a reporter with an old man named Radcliff. The old man was merely repeating family lore and cannot be taken as gospel.

The two Radcliffes whe were executed probably refers to James and Charles Radclyffe, brothers who participated in the uprising aginst the crown in 1715. James was captured and executed in 1716 while Charles escaped to the continent and wasn't captured until 1745 (30 years later). He lost his head in 1746 on Tower Hill. You will find Charles mentioned in the "The Da Vinci Code."

I am not familiar with the seven brothers who immigrated at the same time. This might refer to the sons of Daniel Stephen Radcliff who left no documentation behind and was probably not born in England but in America despite the Stalnaker family Bible notation.

Sorting all these groups has proven impossible up to now.
