Pennsylvania Radcliff Line

I'd like to thank Michael Radcliffe for posting his Pennsylvania Radcliff line. As a result, we may find the parents of Daniel Stephen Radcliff and where he was born.

A number of sources have placed his birth in Philadelphia between 1714 and 1720. His father was the immigrant James Ratcliff, a Quaker from Lancashire. Daniel's siblings appear to have been born in England. While I have been unable to verify this information, some have assured me that while there may be no Penna. records, there are Quaker records in London confirming the birth of Daniel Stephen to James Ratcliff.

It's unusual for one born in America to have records in England and I will have to see them to believe it. Since your DNA and mine match with only one misstep in 300 years or so, Daniel may indeed have been the son of James.

If anyone has these English Quaker records, it would be terrific if we could all share them.

Your site is www.ourradcliffheritage.com for those interested.
