Dear Ronald,

Rowcliffe is the same as Rawcliffe and is an English name for a cliff where deer were often seen. I would post my message on the Rawcliffe genforum if there is one.

There is always a chance that you actually are a Radcliffe or one of the many variants but give Rawcliffe a chance. You can also go to www.google.com and enter "Rowcliffe" and try again with "Rawcliffe." It can be very enlightening. Hope you find something good for the birthday celebration. Gary Radcliffe
