There were volumes of Louisiana Catholic Church records published by a priest, can't think of his name right now, maybe Hebert? but I have not tracked them down for study. For years I thought the LA on the census record was supposed to IA, for Indiana, and was just a mistake until I found a reference in a book I was reading that said ORRA is a cajun name.
