Try using this book for your Michigan Racicot family:
Genealogy of French Canadians of the Detroit River Region by Christian Denissen. My line is Theotiste (Josephine) Racicot b. Feb 1825-Quebec daughter of Joseph Racicot and Genevieve DuFour, She married Antoine Frenet in 1840 in Sandwich, Ontario. I've also seen their name spelled: Rescoe, Rasciceau, and sometimes with an x. I've been able to back Dennisen's information through BMD records on Ancestry.com in the Drouin collection from Détroit, Ste-Anne and Détroit, L`Assomption de Sandwich de Windsor.
