Racicot Family Genealogy Forum

No, I don't think we're part of that family. According to a page I copied from the Dictionnaire Genealogique des Familles Canadienne, There was a Jean-Baptiste Racicot, a blacksmith, who married Apolline Lagarde-Bonvouloir in 1777. Their son, Antoine, was born Feb. 7, 1778 in Detroit. Maybe that's where Regis Racicot decended from (Monroe is near Detroit). I haven't worked on this family for a while, but it seems to me I was having trouble connecting Charles Racicot's (Sr.) father Jacques. There were a number of Jacques Racicots, and I don't think I'm quite sure which one it is. Charles Racicot's (Jr.) wife Delia Robidoux (not to be confused with Adelaide Robidoux, Charles Sr.'s wife), is another roadblock I need to figure out. One record said her father was Leander Robidoux, who I can't find a trace of.
