We know very little about Francis Rachel. Only his wedding date 1802, to Sylvia Barnes. We believe both moved to Washington County, Virginia later in life and lived with their son, James Vaughn Rachel. In the 1830 census, it lists one male between 60 and 70 and one female between the ages of 40 and 50. We believe this couple is Francis & Sylvia Rachel. We know they are buried in Ravens Nest, Washington County, VA.
