Hi Jenni,
Theophilus Montgomery Rabb was my great-grandfather. He was a blacksmith and the father of seven children. Born in South Carolina, he was a small boy when Sherman's troops destroyed his family home. When he was 16, he went to Texas to learn black smithing from two older brothers. He married Laura Jane Connor and later moved to Roswell, NM, where he was half owner of an "all electric" smithy.
I have quite a bit of information for T.M and Laura, their ancestors and children. Contact me if you are interested.
Becky
