Carolyn Akers response from Kentucky, FIRST - I TYPE IN CAPS SO I CAN SEE IT. BUT FOR YOU........ try these sites: http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyrowan/ http://tpettit.best.vwh.net/family/pettit/FG_TOC.htm . These should have some answers for you. If your questioning 'temple work' as in LDS's.... there are a number of Quesinberry's that are LDS members. However, I do not know of any this side of the Rockies. A cousin has taken it upon themselves to post some in LDS listings. As for an inheritance...... I don't know of any of Lawson's kids that had an inheritance to collect. 5 of Lawson's children grouped together and paid for all expenses pertaining to several of their brothers burials in Rowan County. Lawson had disbursed all his holdings before his death so I don't know where any other inheritance would have come from. I do know that Isaac came to my grandmother's home via taxi with his son and told her he had come home to die which he did 3 days later of a heart attack. Isaac's wife and a daughter attended the funeral for which my grandparents paid for cause Isaac didn't have any money. In checking past emails between 1999 - 2005, we have exchanged this information several times. At one time I was asked to meet with you all and take you to Isaac's grave site before your Dad died. Donna Quesinberry Metropolitan DC Response, Ms. Akers-thank you for using non-caps I appreciate that. I believe that my sister Diane had wanted to meet with you to go to the gravesite. However, you and I - I wasn't aware Cherokee handle was *you* did exchange a disparity in historical facts. My father's father Issac Quesinberry was in good health when he went to Morehead and he wasn't dying. As I have stated previously my father would be more aware of his father's health and decisions shared than perhaps my grandfather's sister who felt he was impoverished. I do know the family never interacted with Clara post Issac's death nor the children, which would seem to be against what you share to be a real close family. Additionally, there are LDS members of the Quesinberry family here in Washington DC-I am one. Sorry you haven't gotten to know us. Anne Quesinberry, grandpa Issac's oldest child through Clara, said Issac had divorced prior to marrying Clara. There are notations-even on this site-that request data on Issac Quesinberry's marriage to Lydia Alice Hall, which was in Rowen County, Morehead, Kentucky between late 1800s and 1950. Therefore, there are records that imply a different history than you have to share. Additionally, the LDS data was from microfiche of United States Census Records for Rowen County Morehead Kentucky. As far as the land records, we have decided to contact the courthouse and to obtain probate records to ascentertain any significant facts. Some of this data is retrievable through Morehead and others in Washington DC through second party repositories. Thanks for your input and the links-I am still interested to hear from Lydia's family.
