I am looking for information that may connect Pierce Quirk of Dover, WI to the QUINN family of Waterford/Norway/Dover.

There is a tombstone located in the Quinn plot in St Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Waterford, WI. It says " Erected by Pierce QUINN in the memory of his wife, Mary, who died May 4,1866, age 60yrs. A native of Parish Grange, Rooklar, County Tipperary, Ireland.

When I follow-up with Mary, I find she was married to Pierce QUIRK and lived in the Dover area. At that time the St Mary's Dover Parish had not yet been formed. The census records all support that she is Pierce QUIRK'S wife, yet I wonder about the grave stone.

Is it possible that Pierce Quirk is actually Pierce QUINN ?
There were at one time may Quinns in the area, including Dover. There are many Quinn's buried in St Thomas, including my GGGrandfather, Michael Quinn, from County Tipperary. Michael was said to have 5 sons, all of whom had farms of 200 acres in the area.

I would love to hear from someone who could solve this puzzle for me or who would like a dialogue about these particular people and their relationships.
