Good to hear from you! I'm not really working on our family history (although it definitely interests me), but was curious about the origins of our name. I've heard that the original Quirks were from Ireland, but never knew where exactly.

So, was John Quirk your great-grandfather? My great-great-grandfather? I wasn't aware that Jim (I assume you mean my grandfather, Jim Sr.) was working on a family history. I wonder how far he got with it, and where it is now.

I was just back in Evansville last week for Thanksgiving, in town from Brooklyn, NY. When I return for Christmas I'll try to dig up the family history Grandpa was working on.
