Oh how happy I was to see your post. I am researching 2 Quinton families and the Patton family.
Nathaniel Quinton b abt. 1817 South Carolina married Minerva Emmaline Henson. She was the daughter of James B. Henson and Elizabeth Talley.I have bundles of info on James B and Elizabeth. Both his and hers.
John Quinton b abt. 1819 South Carolina mar. Nellie Langley. She was the daughter of Lock Langley and Peggy.
Some say Peggy (Margaret) was a Hubbard. I haven't researched her so I don't know.
Nathaniel and John were said to be brothers and sons of Samuel and Jane Quinton.
What I really need is Patton info. Maggie Quinton b abt 1865 married a Patton. Maggie was the daughter of John Quinton and Nellie Langley and the grand daughter of Samuel and Jane Quinton. Maggie Quinton Patton had a daughter Myrtle Patton b 1890 Cherokee Nation. Myrtle Patton mar Clarence Parker.
Myrtle Patton mar. Floyd Ballentine.
Do you have any idea who the Male Patton was that married Maggie Quinton?
I have some of the Cherokke abstracts for the Quinton family. Although it is said they were Osage and the Langleys were Cherokee.
I am researching this for my new son-in-law that was adopted out when he was 8 years old. He just now has been able to find his ancestors were the Quinton, Pattons and Langley families.
Any help would be most appreciated.
I am very willing to share what I have with anyone that wants the information.
Thanks
Doris Talley Adams
